soundside tours
This two-hour land-based tour is built for large groups and/or groups on a budget, such as summer camps, family reunions, homeschool groups, etc. This program is done in collaboration with the North Carolina Coastal Federation at the Morris Landing Clean Water Preserve in Holly Ridge, NC. These tours have three parts:

Join us for a short hike through the marh in search of the parts that make up an ecosystem. Learn the ecosystem benefits of oysters as well as identify various types of living shorelines.

Hop aboard our anchored working farm boat to learn about the equipment and methods used in oyster farming. Get an inside look at our farmed oysters while discussing an oyster lifecycle and anatomy.

Get your hands dirty as you help us “close the loop” by helping to build a living shoreline out of oyster shells.
